Thank you for all of your heard work.  It was good while it lasted.  Best of luck at your graduate school.  My only problem with the GoldenBlogs guys is there love affair with nate longshore.  Otherwise they do a stand-up job.

Thanks for taking this on.  It's a bitch, aint it?  Easy enough for those of us who just pop off every now and then, but for someone with a life, running a blog like this takes some effort.

Hopefully the GoldenBlogs people will be a good home.  I don't know about their love affair with Nate (though they sure do apologize for him), but they do seem a bit too cozy with the BN folks for my taste.

Ah well, I'll give them a fair chance and see how it goes.  Best of luck to you!

Your enthusiasm for basketball certainly dwarfed my own - hopefully Cal gives us a reason to cheer under Montgomery soon.  Good luckat school and beyond!

As for the Golden Blogs guys, I enjoy all of their writing, and only a couple of them out of 5(?) writers are Nate "apologists," so I think we'll get the full spectrum of opinion.

First off, I know how much work it takes to run a blog, and I'm really amazed that Kevin was able to keep this site going by himself for as long as he did.  It takes at least three or four of us over at CGB to run things smoothly, and we don't have diaries or anything to deal with.  If things do work out and Kevin comes aboard the new Cal SBN site, I'm sure fans of Kevin will get more quality posts from someone who no longer has to deal with everything else that goes into running a site.

The new SBN site will be 'The California Golden Blogs'.  Excuse Me For My Voice will now be the only Starkey-inspired Cal blog out there.  Sorry, TBIOOTF fans.

Finally, not all of us at the CGB are Nate apologists, although HydroTech in particular certainly has been.  Still, what I really like about the SBN sites (and what really excites me about being part of their network) is the diaries section, soon to be called 'FanPosts'.  Think we're wrong on something, or we suck, or whatever?  Write a post about it.  I'm hoping for an active dialogue on a number of issues, not just our current quarterback controversy.

In conclusion, I hope that everyone here will come on over to the new California Golden Blogs and at least give us a chance.  Including Kevin, who I wish good luck in the future, whatever he chooses to do.
